Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American performer, actress and songwriter for several years. Her mom raised her in the USA, where she faced many racial taunts that made her feel like an unwanted person. In her 9th grade that she gained confidence following her acclaim during an audition. The experience not only increased the confidence of her, but was also a change in the direction she pursued in her professional career. The 22-year-old graduated with a degree from Julliard School in New York. In 1993, she made her Broadway debut in Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was You've Got Mail. However her greatest breakthrough came when she starred in the character in the role of The Lady of The Lake in the first Broadway production of Spamalot winning not just the Tony Award for her performance as well as a lot of critical praise. In the following year, when she was Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy for ABC, she gained greater appreciation. Also, she is a well-known singer and has released an extended play. Also, she's been a vocal advocate for LGBT issues.
